From last summer's 3-week farmworker march on the state Capitol to local struggles to ensure the safety of farmworkers during wildfires, California is embroiled in a renewed fight for the rights of our most essential workers. While some agriculture interests have pushed back on these movements, many smaller-scale farmers are asking how they can stand in solidarity with their own employees and with all those working in the fields. Join us for a conversation with farmworkers and advocacy groups to learn about several recent efforts across the state and explore what role farmers can play to promote a more just and dignified future for all those who make our farms and food system possible.
