Welcome to the 35th annual California Small Farm Conference, a week of learning, inspiration and movement-building. Our hybrid conference features over 50 online workshops, videos, and interactive forums, as well as in-person gatherings around the state. Admission is on a sliding scale. Black farmers and ranchers have become a rarity; there is a growing trend, however, that looks to change that for the positive. This talk and presentation will span topics that shed light on past trends and current opportunities. Also included are popularly emerging soil and animal husbandry practices that support successful and profitable operations development for new & beginning farmers and ranchers, as well as for established farmers and ranchers who may wan to expand or enhance their operations.
