INTERACTIVE SESSION

For the last year several urban agriculture(UA) support organizations and farmers have collaborated on a comprehensive project to begin to identify what is needed to strengthen Urban Agriculture throughout the state of CA. Simultaneously the California Department of Food & Agriculture(CDFA) has begun the process of designing the state's first Urban Agriculture Grant Program. Program Leads from both of these efforts are joining together in this session to discuss a definition for urban agriculture in California, share important information and discuss in an open listening session what community members like yourself need to thrive in the urban agriculture landscape. The goal of this session is to provide a platform for community members to speak directly and influence program designs to generate a community driven model to support urban agriculture throughout the state.
