Water Recycling Applications for Urban Agriculture

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Water scarcity is a critical issue for all farmers, and urban growers are no exception, facing challenges such as outdoor watering restrictions and the high costs of using municipal sources. As a solution, Crop Swap LA incorporates water recycling elements in the design of all its farm sites. This workshop will explore the real world application and use cases of various water recycling methods for the purpose of food production in urban environments.

Information will be geared toward urban growers and will include technical breakdowns of farm design, how to incorporate water recycling into existing infrastructure, rainwater and dew capture, necessary supplies and their associated costs, as well as potential barriers and challenges.

I'm a family man with two daughters and cannot imagine them being without independent food, water, and power. If you feel the same about yourself and your family, let's expand the knowledge around water recycling food growing systems and solve our problems together.Jamiah
