Maria is originally from Peru and fell in love with farming when she attended the Agrarian National University in Lima. After receiving her B.S. in Environmental Engineering, she worked in sustainability and agriculture in Japan, Connecticut and California. Before joining CAFF, Maria worked for the Climate-Smart Agriculture program at UC ANR and studied Innovation and Technology at Utah State University.
