The NoRegrets Initiative is an integrated relationship-centered approach to land and asset management that uses a variety of capital – ecological, financial and social – to grow the health of agricultural lands and the communities that steward them. The ecological base is Paicines Ranch, a diverse landscape that is managed in partnership with nature and livestock to produce pastured-raised meat and organic wine grapes. Through Cienega Capital, investment capital is used to support the individuals who are most deeply in relationship with land–farmers, ranchers and practitioners--and the businesses they own. By way of the Globetrotter Foundation, grants work to catalyze the greater ecosystem of soil health by supporting the non-profits that work with the agricultural community to test new methods of cultivation, train a new generation of agrarians, address the issue of diversity in land access, and promote healthy, locally-sourced food. Activating social capital, the Paicines Ranch Learning Center uses convening to educate, inspire and connect people with new ideas and networks that advance soil health.
