About me
Angela Woodall is a Ph.D. candidate in the Communications department of the Columbia University School of Journalism. Her primary research interests include policy, civic, and socially-related facets of digital technologies and emerging media, as well as computational methods for new media/communications research. Her dissertation research draws on automation and artificial intelligence (AI) studies to examine the mediation and political economy of archiving practices by social media and web archiving software. She holds a master's degree in Journalism and Public Affairs from American University and a bachelor's degree in Anthropology and Sociology from Mills College.
